Benham and The Kentucky Coal Museum Today.
The Kentucky Coal Museum is housed in the International Harvester Commissary. The picture at right is what the the Museum looks like today.

Located across the street from the museum, The School house Inn which at one time served as a high school and elementary school for coal camp children was built in 1926 by Wisconsin Steel Corporation (later known as International Harvester). In 1993 work began to transform the historical building into a country inn and restaurant.
Located near the museum is the old theater, which was also built by the coal company to provide entertainment to the community.
